What the bonus is worth

Est. $1,500+ value

150,000 miles × 1¢

At least $1,500 at Capital One's own rate of 1¢ per mile, the floor you can count on. Booking travel or moving miles to partners can stretch them further: points sites put them at up to 1.7¢ each.

Based on Capital One's own example value of about 1¢ per mile; transfers can be worth more.

"You could earn 52,800 miles per year, a $528 value."
What points sites say: 1¢ to 1.7¢ per mile

Third-party valuations: what points sites estimate points are worth on average, not a cash value or an issuer promise. Your value depends on how you redeem.

Estimate as of Oct 17, 2026.

Biggest catches

  • Any past Capital One business card can block the bonus. Capital One says the bonus may not be available to existing or previous Capital One business card holders, with no time window. If you've ever had a Spark or Venture business card, you may be ineligible. capitalone.com
  • It must be paid in full each month. The card has no preset spending limit and is designed to be paid in full; missing the minimum by the due date costs a 2.99% late fee. You can't carry $30,000 of bonus spend over several months. capitalone.com
  • Personal credit pull on all three bureaus. Even for a business card, Capital One pulls your personal credit report from all three bureaus. Expect three hard inquiries. doctorofcredit.com (third-party)
  • One Capital One card every six months. Data points show about one Capital One approval per six months; DoC doesn't say whether business cards count. Don't apply for a personal Venture X and this card back to back. doctorofcredit.com (third-party)
  • Priority Pass needs enrollment. Priority Pass access isn't automatic; you have to enroll after activating the card. Do it before your first trip. capitalone.com

YMMV: approval and bonus eligibility are the issuer's decision.

Sensei's move

  1. Doesn't add to your 5/24 count

DoC reports that the Venture X Business isn't reported to the personal credit bureaus, so after the inquiry it doesn't add a new account to your Chase 5/24 count. That makes it a good bonus to take while protecting 5/24 slots for Chase cards.

  2. Free Priority Pass guests (the personal card lost them)

Since February 1, 2026 the personal Venture X charges $35 per Priority Pass guest, but the Venture X Business still lets primary and paid additional cardholders bring 2 guests free. If you travel with family, this is the Venture X to hold.

  3. Pool miles with your other Capital One cards

Capital One lets you combine miles across your Capital One miles cards and share with other Venture or Spark cardmembers, so the 150,000-mile bonus can be moved where you need it, including before closing. OMAAT says sharing is done by phone rather than online.

  4. Transfer partners, with the Emirates cut

Miles transfer to Capital One's airline and hotel partners, including Japan Airlines, Qatar and I Prefer added September 23, 2025. Emirates dropped from 1:1 to 1,000:750 on January 13, 2026.

Sensei's take

  • Strong churn
  • Keep a few years
  • Travel wallet: maybe

150,000 miles is one of the biggest bonuses out there, but $30,000 in 3 months on a pay-in-full card only suits a real business with real spend, and any past Capital One business card can disqualify you. It doesn't add to 5/24, which makes it a good bonus to take while saving slots for Chase cards. After year one, the $300 credit and 10,000 anniversary miles cover most of the $395, so keep it while you use the portal. It earns a travel wallet slot over the personal Venture X only if you need free Priority Pass guests; otherwise hold one or the other, not both.
