What the bonus is worth
Est. $820+ value
75,000 points × 1.1¢
Air Canada Aeroplan points have no fixed cash rate, so the floor is the low end of what points sites say they're worth: $820 at 1.1¢ per point. Good redemptions reach 1.5¢ per point.
What points sites say: 1.1¢ to 1.5¢ per point

Biggest catches
- Chase 5/24. One Mile at a Time says Chase's normal rules, including 5/24, apply to this card, though it notes enforcement may be inconsistent. onemileatatime.com (third-party)
- Bonus once per 24 months, previous versions included. Current cardmembers can't apply, and anyone who got this card's bonus, or a previous version's, in the last 24 months is excluded. creditcards.chase.com
- Points leave Chase every month. Points earned on the card move to your Aeroplan account after each billing cycle; they aren't Ultimate Rewards and can't go to Chase's other partners. Points not yet transferred can be lost if the account is closed for misuse. creditcards.chase.com
- Cash-like spend doesn't count toward the bonus. Travelers checks, foreign currency, money orders, crypto and other cash-like transactions aren't purchases for the $4,000 or $20,000 tiers. Gift cards are only explicitly excluded from the Air Canada 3X earning and credit. creditcards.chase.com
- The 40,000 extra takes $20,000. The full 115,000 needs $20,000 of purchases in the first 12 months, five times the first tier's spend. Many churners will only realistically see the 75,000. creditcards.chase.com

Sensei's move
Hold the card, then transfer Ultimate Rewards with a 10% bonus
Chase Ultimate Rewards transfer to Aeroplan 1:1, and cardholders get an automatic 10% bonus on transfers of 50,000 points or more. Doctor of Credit says it stacks with Chase's periodic Aeroplan transfer bonuses (the last one, 20%, ended September 30, 2026). This makes the card the Aeroplan hub of a Chase trifecta.

Cardmember award discount
Primary cardmembers get at least 15% off the points needed for the base fare of eligible Aeroplan flight rewards (FLY15OFF); it doesn't reduce taxes and fees.

Status from the card alone
The card gives automatic Aeroplan 25K status with no spend requirement, and spending $25,000 and $50,000 earns 10,000 Status Qualifying Credits each, up to 25,000 card SQC a year.

Sensei's take
75,000 Aeroplan points for $4,000 is a solid churn on a $195 fee; the extra 40,000 needs $20,000, which most people won't put on a co-brand. As a keeper it's for Air Canada flyers: the $100 Air Canada credit, 25K status, free bags and the 15% award discount add up only if you fly them. For Chase points collectors, the 10% transfer bonus on 50,000+ point transfers can justify keeping it in years you move big balances. Otherwise, take the bonus and reassess at the first fee.
