Biggest catches

  • Employee bonus is a one-time award

The extra 10,000 points pay only once, for the first employee card you add. creditcards.chase.com

  • 5X travel narrows on Jan 1, 2027

From 2027, 5X travel covers only airline tickets bought from the airline and car rental agencies. Other travel and office-supply stores drop to 3X. creditcards.chase.com

YMMV: approval and bonus eligibility are the issuer's decision.

Terms and eligibility can change. Confirm the details with the issuer before you apply.

Sensei looks delighted

Sensei's take

  • Strong churn
  • Keep a few years
  • Travel wallet: maybe

190,000 points after $5,000 in 3 months is a big launch offer, and it runs only through Nov 18, 2026. At $200, the anniversary free night plus the airline credit can cover the fee for someone who stays at IHG once a year. Treat the quarterly dining voucher and Instacart credit as extras, not reasons to keep it.
