Biggest catches

  • $695 fee from day one. There's no first-year waiver, so you pay $695 before you've used any perk. creditcards.chase.com
  • Chase 5/24 still applies to business cards. Business applications are subject to 5/24 even though Chase business cards don't add to your count. Over 5/24 means a likely denial. doctorofcredit.com (third-party)
  • No Star Alliance lounges. The included Club membership covers United Clubs only. Star Alliance lounges need All Access, which takes $50,000 in a calendar year or Premier Gold. creditcards.chase.com
  • Employee cards don't get Club access. Only the primary cardmember gets the United Club membership. creditcards.chase.com
  • Bonus miles can be clawed back within six months. If the account isn't open at least six months, United and Chase can deduct the bonus miles. Don't cancel or product-change before month seven. creditcards.chase.com
  • Cash-like transactions don't count toward the spend. Travelers checks, foreign currency, money orders, wire transfers, betting transactions, balance transfers and fees aren't purchases. creditcards.chase.com
  • Bonus posts 6 to 8 weeks after the spend. Don't book an award counting on the bonus miles right after you hit the spend. creditcards.chase.com

YMMV: approval and bonus eligibility are the issuer's decision.

Sensei's move

  1. Pair with a personal United card for 5,000 miles a year

If you also hold a personal United card (any without "business" in the name), this card adds 5,000 bonus miles each account anniversary.

    Still works as of Oct 18, 2026 · creditcards.chase.com

  2. Earn status on spend

You earn 1 PQP per $15 spent, up to 28,000 PQP a calendar year. The 2,000 welcome PQP don't count toward that cap.

    Still works as of Oct 18, 2026 · creditcards.chase.com

  3. Spend $50,000 for All Access

$50,000 in net purchases in a calendar year upgrades you to United Club All Access, which adds Star Alliance lounges and a second adult guest.

    Still works as of Oct 18, 2026 · creditcards.chase.com

  4. Top up with Chase Ultimate Rewards

Ultimate Rewards from an Ink or Sapphire card transfer 1:1 to United, so an Ink Business Preferred plus this card covers big awards.

Sensei's take

  • Keep one year
  • Travel wallet: maybe

Up to 100,000 miles plus 2,000 PQP for $5,000 is a big bonus, and it doesn't add to your 5/24 count, but the $695 fee is charged from day one. Keep it only if you fly United often enough to use the Club membership and free bags; the $200 hotel and JSX credits are narrow. For most churners it's a one-year card, cancelled after month six and before the second fee.
