What the bonus is worth
Est. $980+ value
70,000 points × 1.4¢
World of Hyatt points have no fixed cash rate, so the floor is the low end of what points sites say they're worth: $980 at 1.4¢ per point. Good redemptions reach 1.8¢ per point.
What points sites say: 1.4¢ to 1.8¢ per point

Biggest catches
- No annual free night. Unlike the personal World of Hyatt card, this card has no anniversary free night certificate. The fee is offset only by the $100 in Hyatt credits and spend perks. nerdwallet.com (third-party)
- 10% points back needs $50,000 first. The 10% rebate on up to 200,000 redeemed points only starts after you and employees spend $50,000 in a calendar year, and only covers redemptions after that point in the same year. creditcards.chase.com
- Bonus once per 24 months. Current cardmembers, and anyone who got this card's bonus in the last 24 months, can't get it again. creditcards.chase.com
- Chase 5/24 and the reported sole-prop 3/24. Doctor of Credit lists the Chase Hyatt card among those subject to 5/24, and since September 2026 has unconfirmed reports of a 3/24 limit for sole-proprietor business applicants. doctorofcredit.com (third-party)
- Cash-like spend doesn't count toward the $7,000. Balance transfers, cash advances, travelers checks, foreign currency, money orders and other cash-like transactions aren't purchases. Chase doesn't name gift cards for the bonus, so their status is unconfirmed. creditcards.chase.com

Sensei's move
Top up with Ultimate Rewards through a Reserve
Chase points transfer to World of Hyatt, but since October 1, 2026 only the Sapphire Reserve and Reserve for Business stay at 1:1; the Preferred cards are 4:3. Doctor of Credit reports you can move points to a Reserve first and transfer at 1:1, so pair this card with a Reserve in the household.

Gift Discoverist to employees
You get Discoverist status for as long as the account is open and can gift Discoverist to up to five employees, useful for a small team that stays at Hyatt.

Spend toward status with tier-qualifying nights
Every $10,000 in purchases each calendar year earns 5 tier-qualifying night credits, so heavy business spend can help reach higher Hyatt tiers.

Sensei's take
70,000 Hyatt points for $7,000 is a good Hyatt haul, but the $199 fee is only half covered by the two $50 Hyatt credits and there's no free night. Keep it past year one only if your business spends heavily enough to use the tier-qualifying nights or the $50,000 rebate. For most churners it's a one-year card, with Ultimate Rewards via a Reserve as the better long-term Hyatt source. Worth a slot only for a business that stays at Hyatt.
