How to get it

  1. Between October 1 and November 15, 2026, open a new eligible Citizens checking account and a new eligible savings account on the same day.
  2. Make one single deposit of at least $15,000 in new money into the new savings account.
  3. Each month for 12 months, earn $50 if the savings end-of-day balance stays at $15,000-$39,999.99, or $150 at $40,000 or more.
  4. Bonuses are paid on the last day of the following month. For accounts opened in October, the months run November 2026 through October 2027.

What it means for churners

  • Requires opening Citizens checking too; the checking fuel bonus can be earned on top.

Fine print

  • The primary signer can't be or have been a signer on another Citizens personal checking account in the previous 6 months. Each customer can join the consumer offer once.
  • Citizens Access Online Savings and Citizens Private Bank accounts aren't eligible.
  • Bonuses are forfeited if the new money requirement isn't met or maintained. Can't be combined with another checking or savings offer.
  • One Deposit Savings has a $4.99 monthly fee; the checking account's own fee also applies.
