How to get it
- Open or use an eligible individual non-retirement Plynk brokerage account.
- Join Plynk Premium ($3.99 a month) and keep a valid bank account linked to pay for it.
- Hold eligible dividend-paying stocks, ETFs or mutual funds for at least 30 days before the ex-dividend date.
- Plynk matches 50% of the eligible cash dividends paid, up to $500 a year. The cap resets every January 1.
Fine print
- Only cash dividends count. Capital gains, return of capital, noncash distributions and core cash interest don't.
- Hold eligible stocks, ETFs or mutual funds at least 30 calendar days before the ex-dividend date. Funds that accrue dividends daily have no minimum hold.
- The match is credited to your Plynk brokerage core account within 10 business days of the first day of the following month. The research found no extra hold on paid rewards.
- Dividend yields and principal value aren't guaranteed.
- No public end date stated. Plynk calls it ongoing but says it can cancel or change the terms at any time without notice.
- This 50% Premium rate and the 25% base rate are alternatives. You get one or the other, and the caps don't add together.
- Premium costs $3.99 a month. The research did not establish annual or transfer-out fee amounts. Treat them as unknown, not $0.
