How to get it

  1. Fill in your information on Santander's offer page to reveal your promo code.
  2. Open a new Private Client, Select, Simply Right or Essential Checking account in a branch with the code by Dec 18, 2026.
  3. Make at least one qualifying direct deposit and keep an average daily balance of $2,000 ($300) or $5,000 ($500) over the first 90 days.
  4. Keep the account open at least 90 days; Santander says payment occurs within 30 days thereafter.

Fine print

  • Not available if any owner is a current Santander checking customer or had a Santander checking account in the last 12 months.
  • Can't be combined with other checking bonus offers. You must be 18 or older.
  • Florida eligibility is limited to Miami-Dade, Monroe and Broward counties and Collier county ZIP 34141.
