How to get it
- Open a new Everyday Checking account online from Wells Fargo's offer page (code applied automatically), or get an emailed code and visit a branch, by Jan 13, 2027.
- Receive $1,000 or more in qualifying direct deposits within 90 days of opening.
- Wells Fargo says it deposits the bonus within 30 calendar days; the account must not be closed or restricted.
Fine print
- Not available to customers who received a bonus for a Wells Fargo consumer checking account within the past 12 months, Wells Fargo employees, or non-resident aliens signing IRS Form W-8.
- Transfers, mobile deposits, Zelle and branch or ATM deposits don't count.
- Online opening is only for Everyday Checking; in a branch other eligible checking accounts can be opened.
- $25 minimum opening deposit. The $15 fee can be avoided with a $1,500 minimum daily balance or $500 in qualifying electronic deposits, among other options.
