How to get it
- Open a new Citizens personal checking account online or in a branch between Oct 1 and Nov 15, 2026.
- Each month, have direct deposits totaling $1,000 or more post to the new checking account.
- Use your Citizens debit card at gas stations (merchant codes 5541 or 5542). The monthly bonus equals your qualifying fuel spend, up to the cap.
- Citizens says each bonus is paid on the last day of the month after the month you qualify.
What it means for churners
- This is a rebate on gas you buy, not a flat cash bonus; the real value depends on your fuel spending.

- Monthly cap: $100 ($1,200 over 12 months) for Quest or Private Client; $50 ($600) for One Deposit, EverValue or Student checking.
- Miss either requirement in a month and you earn nothing that month, but later months still count.
