Up to $1,000 bonus
New offer from Oct 20: open a Schwab Bank Investor Checking account and deposit $25,000 or more in new-to-Schwab money by Nov 10 for $250, $500 or $1,000.
- Deposit
- $25,000+ new-to-Schwab funds by Nov 10, 2026
- States
- Nationwide (U.S. residents)
- Ends
- Nov 10, 2026
- Fee
- No monthly service fee
How to get it
- Open a new Schwab Bank Investor Checking account by Nov 10, 2026. It comes linked to a Schwab One brokerage account; if you already have Schwab One, just add the checking account.
By Nov 10, 2026, move money from another institution into the Investor Checking account. Tiers
New-to-Schwab funds in Investor Checking by Nov 10, held through Dec 25 Deposit Bonus $25,000 to $49,999 $250 $50,000 to $99,999 $500 $100,000 or more $1,000 - Keep that new money in the checking account every day from Nov 10 through Dec 25, 2026.
- Schwab says the bonus posts to the checking account within one to two statement cycles.
What it means for churners
- A big deposit for a short hold: the money has to sit only until Dec 25, but $25,000 is the floor.
- Separate from Schwab's brokerage referral bonus, which needs a taxable account deposit.
Fine print
- Not for anyone who already has an Investor Checking account. Existing Schwab One brokerage clients without one can qualify.
- Only new-to-Schwab money counts. Transfers between Schwab accounts and money already at Schwab don't.
- If the balance drops into a lower tier for even one day between Nov 10 and Dec 25, the bonus drops to that tier.
- One bonus per client. Owners must be U.S. citizens or resident aliens living in the U.S. with a U.S. mailing address (not U.S. territories).
- The account must be open and in good standing when the bonus posts. Schwab may issue a 1099 for the bonus.
- Investor Checking has no monthly service or overdraft fees, per Schwab.
