How to get it

  1. Open a new Eastern Bank personal checking account (Free, eZ or Premier Checking) between Oct 17 and Nov 20, 2026.
  2. Checking, $350: get two or more recurring payroll, pension or government benefit direct deposits totaling at least $3,000 within 90 days of opening.
  3. Savings, $250: open a new Statement Savings account in the same window, deposit at least $15,000 within 30 days, and keep an average daily balance of $15,000 or more for the 90 days starting on day 31.
  4. Extra $150: qualify for both, with the checking and savings accounts opened within 3 business days of each other.
  5. Eastern Bank deposits all earned bonuses into the checking account by Apr 19, 2027.

Fine print

  • You must be 18 or older, live in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine or Rhode Island, and be the primary signer.
  • Not for anyone who had an Eastern personal checking account (for the checking bonus) or personal savings or money market account (for the savings bonus) on or after Oct 17, 2025.
  • One bonus of each type per household (common address).
  • Person-to-person payments, transfers between accounts and third-party payments such as PayPal or eBay don't count as direct deposits.
  • Opening deposits: $25 Free Checking, $50 eZ Checking, $500 Premier Checking, $10 Statement Savings.
  • The account must be open with a balance above zero when the bonus is paid. Bonuses are reported on a 1099. Can't be combined with other deposit offers; Eastern may withdraw the offer at any time.
