Annual-fee cards
1,000 points = 1,000 miles
No-fee cards
1,000 points = 700 miles

How to get it

  1. Find the Copa or Star Alliance award you want with ConnectMiles before you move any points.
  2. Sign in at thankyou.com, open Points Transfer and pick Copa ConnectMiles.
  3. Transfer at least 1,000 points. Citi's terms say most transfers arrive within 24 hours, but some take up to 5 business days.

What changed

  • BeforeThankYou points didn't transfer to Copa ConnectMiles
NowThankYou points transfer to Copa ConnectMiles: 1,000 points = 1,000 miles on annual-fee cards, 700 miles on no-fee cards

Affected cards

These include, but aren't limited to:

  • Citi Strata Elite
  • Citi Strata Premier
  • Citi Prestige
  • AT&T Access More
  • Citi Strata
  • Citi Double Cash
  • Citi Custom Cash

What it means for churners

  • Worth knowing if you fly Copa or book Star Alliance awards: ConnectMiles still uses a fixed award chart, with economy awards between the US and Central America, the Caribbean or South America from 15,000 miles (Travel on Points, Upgraded Points).
  • ConnectMiles adds no carrier surcharges to award flights and allows a free stopover on eligible awards (Travel on Points, Frequent Miler).
  • Only transfer for a booking you've found: ConnectMiles expire after 24 months without earning or redeeming (Travel on Points).

Fine print

  • 1,000 points = 1,000 miles for cardholders of Citi Strata Elite, Citi Strata Premier, Citi Prestige and AT&T Access More (Frequent Miler, Oct 25, 2026).
  • 1,000 points = 700 miles for Citi ThankYou Preferred, Citi Strata, Citi Double Cash, Citi Custom Cash, Citi ThankYou Mastercard, AT&T Universal Rewards World, AT&T Universal Savings and Rewards, AT&T Universal Rewards, AT&T Points Plus and AT&T Access.
  • Citi's partner list needs a ThankYou sign-in, and Citi's public card pages don't name Copa yet (checked Oct 25, 2026). Frequent Miler, Doctor of Credit, Upgraded Points and Travel on Points all reported the same ratios on Oct 25.
  • Citi's minimum transfer is 1,000 points.
  • Transfer times are Citi's terms as quoted by Travel on Points: usually within 24 hours, occasionally up to 5 business days.
  • Miles are not cash; their value depends on how you redeem them.
